NextGen offers a full array of orthodontic services to help improve your smile. We use the newest materials, appliances, and systems to ensure the most effective and efficient orthodontic treatment.
Orthodontic treatment for children
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that your child gets a check-up with an orthodontist at the first sign of orthodontic problems or no later than age seven. Early evaluation aids in timely detection of problems and gives greater opportunity for more effective treatment.
Orthodontic treatment for adults
Age is not a consideration when it comes to orthodontic treatment. Healthy teeth can be moved at any age. Thanks to the variety of orthodontic appliances used by NextGen orthodontists, adults may be able to inconspicuously achieve the great smile they want using ceramic brackets or Invisalign.
Traditional braces made of high-grade stainless steel are still the most popular type of braces. They are much smaller and more comfortable than ever before. Traditional braces are a very cost effective orthodontic treatment suitable for children and adults alike.
Ceramic braces are the same size and shape as metal braces, except that they are made of ceramic alloy and come in different levels of transparency in order to blend in to teeth. Because of their inconspicuous look, they are mostly popular with older teenagers and adults. Ceramic brackets are less noticeable but they are a little more brittle and a little more costly than their stainless steel counterparts.
NextGen is an Invisalign Certified Provider. Invisalign is an active, removable appliance that straightens teeth by using a series of clear, customized plastic aligners. By gradually shifting your teeth into place, aligners improve your bite without the use of metal brackets. Aligners are replaced every two weeks. They are almost invisible and patients can eat and drink whatever they want. Not all occlusion problems can be fixed with Invisalign, and it is only available for adults and teens.
After the teeth have been moved into their desired positions, a period of time is needed to stabilize the teeth so that the surrounding bone and soft tissues can conform to your new dental alignment. You will want to protect and maintain your beautiful new smile.Retainers are used after the braces are removed to help keep your teeth in place and prevent shifting. All retainers are custom made of plastic and/or metal wire to fit your top and bottom teeth. In most cases patients are required to wear their retainers every night.
Meet Our Specialists
My daughter had her braces treatment at Nextgen Orthodontics. Growing up, her permanent teeth would come out on top of her baby teeth. Eventually, she had crowded teeth, jaw was out of shape, and the canines where in the wrong place. They told me at the office that all of that could be fixed in a two year treatment. They took care of everything and explained the treatment step by step. Now, she has her braces off and she can smile comfortably in front of other people. I’m surprised to see how much confidence she gained with a perfect smile. Thank you Nextgen Orthodontics.
Dr Gary Beyer did my Invisalign few years ago. Being an adult, I did not want regular braces, and since I was told I was a good candidate for Invisalign, that is what I chose to straighten my teeth. I had a little trouble in the beginning- getting used to the aligners and a little soreness, but Dr Beyer and his assistant were there for me every step of the way. They were very knowledgeable and supportive and the treatment was not any more expensive than braces would have been. After about 10 months, I was done. My teeth look wonderful and I cannot be happier that I chose Dr Gary Beyer to do my Invisalign treatment. Thank you Dr Beyer!
My daughter and myself both see Dr. Beyer for braces. We have been very happy with the level of service and care we receive. We would (and have) recommend the office to anyone!
